Swingarm Bearings

Have any of you replaced the swing arm bearings. Are the parts commercially available? Part codes would be appreciated if you have them.

By "commercially available" I mean non BMW. i.e. a hardware store.

Question still open

There's 2 swingarms on Ebay complete low mile for best offer shipped. Offer $50. LKQ F650GS. Same PN as 800. Best bang.

Edit: Best hurry as a FF already scored one!

Just take the sizes above to your favourite bearing supply store...I'd bring a sample of what you want just to get the correct bearing.

You won't find these in a regular hardware store (at least in the GTA area).

Is this just the principle of having independent access to the parts? Given the time expended to source the parts elsewhere plus the price from BMW, I don't see much of an issue.

Clearly you don't live in the Philippines.

Clearly that would've been helpful information at the start.

Just answering the question would have been more to the point.

Your question was answered in the first post.

How the hell do we know what's commercially available in your unidentified part of the world? Instead of wasting our time and pissing off the people trying to help you in a friendly manner, try helping us help you.

Go ask in the appropriate Regional Forum.

Name calling is a great way to get answers. I'll be sure to stay off your lawn.

I didn't realize we were obligated to help. tofire gave you the part numbers and the dimensions of the bearings. Any part the entire bike was made from is commercially available.

I'll let someone less jerky help you from here. I wouldn't want to get your heart rate up trying to explain the procedure to change those commercially available swingarm parts.

Have a swell day.

Seriously? This is how you respond to people who answer your question with full specifics including part numbers?

These people here are a HUGE resource of knowledge very specific to these bikes, people who repair them, and use them to travel to all corners of the earth on them. I have met several people from this forum in person, all of them really decent people, all willing to help either with knowledge on the board from questions, or at the side of the road when you need help

And you come in here and insult them for no good reason when they try to help you because you are too lazy to be more specific in your question or the answer you expect?

You seem like a very angry little man, and are clearly the real "jerk" in this equation. I suggest you find another forum, perhaps one based in the Philippines so you can get the answers you expect.

If I were a mod I would have already banned you. I vote you off the island.
