Where are you owner of VKT73 ? Wtd: Info on damaged 2003 KTM 640 Adv NSW in Sept. 03

This may be a bit off topic but I am trying to get in contact with the past owner of the above bike I bought at an insurance salvage auction in Sydney last year. It was first registered new in NSW in May 2003 and was kitted out for a trip with KTM alloy panniers and Michelin Deserts fitted. It was in some sort of accident around Sept this year when the rider may have terminated his trip (!). It had the usual coating of outback orange and had done only 2400kms. I'm interested in finding more on the circumstances of the accident and other info. RTA are obviously a waste of time unless someone has a plant there. Anyway, If anyone out there knows who was the original buyer/rider of the bike, please let me know. Thanks guys.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Well, I'm thinking that said owner may now frequent this forum and He'd (She'd?) get prompted by the thread title. If they aren't on here, then its unlikely I'll get a response. This is close enough!

Another alternative? There was a post on checking service history recalls on KTM on the Aussie page ages ago, if yours has had work done at a dealer you may be able to find some info that way.

I thought KTM had record of all their bikes on a computer database nationwide based on engine number?

They wouldnt' give you the previous owner's name, but they could phone him and ask him if he'd like contact from you.

(Maybe he died?)
