Hey Peeps! Have fun this year, we cant make it. Its just not in the cards. Wish you all the best and have a blast that's the easy part.

On another note:

Charlie (Lastplace) who did the Dakar presention for us the first year; He just got back from Africa! He raced the Tuareg Rally and did great! Its good to have local talent like Charlie showing up and having a good time! Enjoy.

I am interested in joining this if still there is space and I can pick you & your bike up from San Jose. I am interested in camping on Fri/Sat night and riding on Sat on Sun and returning back on Sunday evening.

My first year at Mendo, I rode up on my 2002 BMW R1100S street bike, intending on just camping and enjoying a weekend away from work. Thanks to 3DChief (Tim) for introducing me to off road riding...

Photos and videos from my 2011 experience at the Mendo Rally...

My campsite...

Icing the pony keg...

Dean's kitchen setup...

My nemesis...

Video of the famed water crossing...

This is my attempt on the KLR250... Later in the same day, I attempted the same water crossing on a Yamaha 225, with the same result...

I'm in this photo somewhere... can you find me?..

Riding 3DChief's little KLR250 and decked out in my full-on street gear... and signaling aliens in space...

One of the road hazards encountered... (er, I'm referring to the log... Dude...)

The pre-ride discussion on my first ever off-road experience... Thanks again Tim! (3DChief)
