I want to give a huge thanks to Dean and everyone else who put this great weekend together.

It was my first Mendo Rally and I had a blast. Everyone was really cool and instantly made me feel like a part of the group.

Kudos to dean and the crew for a much needed weekend away. I can't wait to go back next year...or sooner.

Rode out with Leo on French Ridge, Twin Valley, Bartlett Springs and Bear Valley with rain that started 5min out of camp. I was soaked by the time we made it to Clear Lake. Had clear weather down Morgan Valley until Berryessa then got dumped on for bout and hour.

Note to self:
Always bring a jacket.

Thanks

Great weekend. Thanks, Dean and crew.

Besides operator-induced errors resulting in 3 falls, I suffered a rear-tire flat due to a sliver of granite-looking stone spiking through the innertube and a failed clutch cable. Fortunately, one of my mates lent me his spare innertube (mine was back at camp), I had a spare cable. Makes for a smooth weekend.

This is a great campsite and is a great rally. I hope to be able to return next year.

Thanks again.

Big thanks to Dean and team for expertly running a great rally. First time for me; will be back for plenty more.

* good times with r3r3r and fishwhisperer; thanks for the pics and the Hull Mountain climb (twice).
* Note to self: if you hit the blue trails in the first 15 minutes, properly warm up.
* Second note to self: when you mount a new petcock days before the rally, learn to operate it first.
* Third note to self: avoid picking up 4 inch nails in your rear tire. First field repair ever. Big thanks to Speed Racer, JoeFromSF, and Kawtipper for the supervision.
* Also, thanks to the crew from Sunday night for sharing all the food. The final fire was Macadamia-esque.

Hmmm, looks familiar:

Great weekend! First time "camping" off of my bike, and I like it. Came in from Paskentaish on the east side via FH7 and M6 with Dow and went out up M1 to the Eel River work center by Covelo and back out to Paskenta by way of Anthony Peak Lookout. Almost a big loop of the whole forest.

Great eclectic group of people! Thanks for putting this on! Oh, and I think the fire needs more wood!

Thumb Another Great Rally

Just want to add my thanks to Dean, Janet, Sharon and everybody else who pitched in to make this another great rally. Whoever was in charge of the weather did an especially outstanding job, except for that little bit of rain that started just as I unloaded all of my van contents into the parking lot in order to load my bike. The Sunday night post-rally-party was an added bonus.

Had a great ride in the high country with Bill, Darrell, Steve, Randall and Scott on Friday. It was nice having the extra muscle and support getting up those hills and around the downed trees at the end of a long day,

First time at top of Hull Mtn:

So, I usually take a lot of photos on trips, but I was having so much fun riding that I didn't take my camera out very often. The rally was better than I had hoped. Hats off to Dean and the rest of the gang that make this happen every year. Really amazing.

Great ride up via Berryessa-Knoxville, Rayhouse Road, Walker's Ridge, Bear Creek, etc. with Bert (bignastybrp) and Wendy on Friday; 140 mile loop to Stonyford and back with Bert & Wendy and Paul (Justpaul) & Jill on Saturday; Signal Peak and 18n35 with Jon (Goldentaco) on Sunday, home via M1, French Ridge, Bartlett Springs, Bear Valley, Berryessa-Knoxville, also with Goldentaco. In the rain. Over 700 miles riding with people I had never met before. Great fun, great people.

My only regret is that I didn't get to meet as many people as I would have liked to. I wanted to be able to put real names and faces names with all the Avatars, but I fell somewhat short. Still, I did get to know a few of you, and hope to see some again before next year's rally. Staying over Sunday night was great. Only a few of us in camp, but it was great to sit around the campfire in a small, chill group.

I'm still working on some video I shot, but here are the photos.

awesome rally!!!

Dean and crew, you guys did a fantastic job. You are all humble and say it's no big deal, but anybody who has put on an event knows how consuming those details can be. Congrats on a great job. Thank you all so much for taking such good care of us. The campsite was great, and even the toilet got a little more bearable as the new poop starting burying the old poop

Thanks too to my generous riding partners Joe, Darrell, Randall, Steve, Bill and Jack. You guys did all the 'work' planning and following routes, and making sure this noob didn't do anything stupid. And thanks for not laughing at me... too much

My wife, Carin, had a splendid time as well. We only did a single day of two-up riding (Hull Mtn) on Sunday, but she certainly felt the love from the group which will pay huge dividends in my ability to hang out with this crew in the future

I'm still amazed after DV and Mendo, my first two rallies, just how welcoming, generous, and helpful this community is. I guess we dump a whole bunch of $ in these rigs and all the gear, but these events are an amazing value, and they make all the time and effort on the bikes so worth it. I can't wait for another event, probably West Fest this summer. And see you all again in Mendo next year.

-Scott

Sorry no pics to share, thanks to Randall and Joe for posting our ride shots!

Loved seeing Bob and Dave, meeting Chase and Matt...and the usual suspects.

Glad to see snow wasn't an issue this year! I need more ride report people! Oh and did Kyle Gillafunk actually show up?

Well done Dean and crew.

Kiel did show, I had the pleasure of riding with him on Sat. My first time riding in the area and wish I took better notes. We got as far east as Upper Letts lake. Heading south there was some location involving goats. I know there were 2 decent size water crossings and a whole lot of little ones.

No pics, unfortunately. The large house trailer hanging off the edge of a road it had no business being on, was certainly photogenic.

Just to prove how tough the roads were, Kiel did fall down and got a boo boo.

An interesting area and easy to get lost in. Lots up and down roads. I did enjoy the scenery and the company.

Boo Boo? I JUST got my truck unloaded yesterday afternoon, then had to return to the couch and dope myself up because I over-did it.

This shit BLOWS. The sides and bottom of my foot are the same color as the toes. Good stuff.

Thanks Dean and friends for putting together another fantastic rally. Mike and I had a blast and definitely got our fix after two full days of hard riding. Riding French Ridge on Sunday was the icing on the cake...what an incredible trail! See all you inmates again next year
