I ain't no maths whiz, but I think that's somewhere around 112 mph on average.

That keeps showing up everywhere.

I plugged in my favorite road to see what it came up with and came to the conclusion that the "bike" it's computing things for would have to accelerate and brake better than a MotoGP bike, because it shows accelerating from 52 to 80 mph in less than 100 feet and decelerating from 66 to 27 mph in an even shorter distance.

It bears no resemblance to reality other than the slowest speed that it shows for any given corner. It ignores all the rest of the dynamics of riding a motorcycle.

That's funny. I know the person who made that on another forum (or at least claims to). He said he spent 20 hour programming it and that was on December 30th so there hasn't been much time for tweaking out the details.

I used to run Push Mountain Road every Sunday morning with my VFR. With my girlfriend timing me, my best time was 22 minutes and 10 seconds, which averages out to something like 68 mph. That was about the limit of my bravery and talent.

I am sure that if somebody had no regard for the speed limit, it would be easy to run Push Mountain Road in 18 minutes.....

I think Push Mountain Road is 25.15 miles in length, so a 25 minute run would average out to 60 mph. Do I have the math right.

A 26-minute run means you're traveling the speed limit, on average — maybe a little slower in some of the curves and a little faster on the straights.

I rode that last Memorial day weekend on a Sunday morning early on my DR. No other traffic. Wish I had timed it now just for the fun of it. Since I had never ridden it before and was loaded with camping gear I am sure I didn't set any records.
