OK, got everything installed today. Very straight forward, simple installation. About 30 minutes on the pannier mounts & less on the top box rack. Shot some quick pics to get them posted today.
The complete system. I really like how the top box sets close to the bike. ![]() Without top box ![]() Right side mount ![]() Left side mount ![]() Top box rack, which doubles as a sturdy luggage for smaller soft bags

More Pics
Here are a couple more pics showing different views of the boxes. Here's the inside of the 45 liter box. The 2 large disc are for attaching & releasing the boxes from the mount & are knurled for a positive grip.

I've had some questions regarding the overall width of the Bumot Luggage for the 1200GS. The new system with the muffler cutout is 37" wide as shown below.
![]() For comparison, here's a pic of the stock 1200GS handlebars showing their widest point, which is actually the handguards, at 37" also. ![]() For more info on the Bumot Luggage Systems, or any other accessories, contact XplorerMoto at 520-743-0638 or visit us at www.xplorermoto.com |

I looked a bit on the web site, did not find a price list for just "cans" without mounting systems.
Curious about cost PER pannier, or per PAIR, in silver or black, etc., etc., Got pricelist? I dont need exhaust cutout...

What's the width of that setup and could you guestimate the width if Bumot offers a muffler cutout? How does the quality compare to Holan? And finally, how do you like that Sargent seat compared to stock? |

By using the Hepco Becker mounts & 45 liter bags, it puts the O/A width at just a tad under 40". You can subtract 2" for the 40 liter bags & 4" for the 35 liter bags. I'm looking into alternative mounts that would be narrower. The Bumot mounts should put the O/A width in the 36-37" range. But I don't have a time line on those yet. Not really familiar with Holan, but the quality of the Bumot is definitely high end. I've been riding on Sargent seats since '98. Have done several 1000 mile days. I've tried a bunch of different seats, but for me, the Sargent works best.

We've had some inquires about the clear opening & sizes of the Bumot Luggage boxes. There are 3 sizes available, 35 liter, 40 liter & 45 liter. The length & height on all the boxes is the same, 18"(L)x16"(H). The depth of the boxes are as follows; 35 liter - 8", 40 liter - 9" & 45 liter - 10". I posted pics of the 45 liter box showing the clear opening. Also some of the weatherstripping, latches, hinges, etc.

Bumot Luggage Installation
We've had some questions concerning the installation process for the Bumot Luggage, so I thought I'd pass along my experience from an install this past weekend. I installed a set of 45 liter bags on an 1100GS, & from start to finish, it took a total of 33 minutes. The bags come complete with all hardware installed & the mounts are super simple & straight forward. No need to relocate turn signals or exhaust.

We have a few sets still available at the introductory pricing, $895.00 for the 1100/1150GS & $985.00 for the 1200GS.
