BMW Nav IV & Zumo 660
So hypothetically...
![]() If I were to take the software from the Nav IV and replace the software on the Zumo 660, would the Nav IV buttons on the cradle work on the Zumo? I would never do this as it may violate the TOS of BMW and Garmin, but I live in Sealand and these laws don't apply here. Any of my fellow Sealand residents ever try this? Did it work? |

WEllllll?
Did you try it? Did it work?
I wonder if you did the opposite: loaded the 660 onto the Nav IV- would you be able to listen to audio thru a cable while mounted in the cradle? (just assume I've already figured out how to access the jack...

Sorry to end your wet dream, but I looked into this some time ago with Garmin and BMW. The software version developed for the Nav IV checks the serial number of the unit, and won't run on the 660, and vice versa.
Could it be hacked to work? Above my pay grade?
