Any Calgary Area Machinists?
I need a couple of adapters/spacers machined up for my fork swap project. Is there anyone who is an amateur machinist with a lathe in their garage who can help me out? Alternately can anyone recommend a small machine shop that would do the work?
I used to deal with a small machine shop in the ATCO industrial park but it is gone now.

I always use Humphrys on Blackfoot Trail. Used them for years, always done right.

What sort of adapter exactly? I have a lathe and milling machine and might be able to help you out as long as it's not too complicated. I'm still pretty much a novice at running them.

I need an aluminum circular spacer with 29mm ID, 41mm OD and 13mm height. I found an old bearing inner ring that is working temporarily:
![]() I also have a new brake caliper mount that I installed to take a larger disk and the disk isn't as centered in the caliper as I would like and I am thinking of getting 1 - 2mm milled off to center it better: ![]() If it is something that you could manage, it would be worth lunch or beer to me!

If you can source the aluminum for the space it should be pretty straight forward to make. I have a bit of smaller aluminum on hand, but currently nothing of that diameter.
As to milling the brake mount, that too is likely doable as long as I can get it mounted up in the mill

I had a look in my metal bin yesterday, and I do have a small chunk of round 6061 aluminum that would be suitable for your spacer if you're still in need.

Yes, thanks. I was looking at Online metals last night and I can buy a foot of T3 2011 in the right size but shipping was going to be silly, so I was going to call around town today. If you have something, that would be fantastic.
I'll send you a PM.
