Tahoe Truckee Area to CO All (or mostly) Dirt

Hey fellow riders I am putting together a trip for the spring from the prosser reservoir area (depending on snow) over to verdi, all the way through NV, UT and finally arriving in CO. I would like to do 99 percent dirt if possible and would most likely be doing the trip on a 990, but think 450x also. I'll be mostly camping with one or 2 motel/ shower stops and would love to do some fishing along the way. Any links suggestions or tips would be great! Of course I'll have a ride report to go along with gps tracks.

I have several choices in my Statewide Motorized Trail System (SMTS) file for Nevada, then you might look at the Pony Exprress trail but it does not go to CO, it goes up to WY.
