Wombat State Forest Ride

Hey All,

Heading out for a ride tomorrow in the Wombat State Forest. I had a small ride there today and while washing the bike I heard that there is no work tomorrow. I'm still learning the place but it has some amazing tracks and there seems to be no shortage of them. Heading from Ballarat but happy to meet at one of the little towns in the area.

Riding a KTM 640 Adventure and after turning 40 odd and having 10 years off dirt bikes, I take it pretty easy these days but haven't found anything there yet that can't be climbed on the big woofa.

I carry a sat phone and 406 EPIRB just in case, however, It's still more enjoyable with other riders.

If interested let me know or maybe we could arrange another Monday(day off each week) to go blastin.

Hey buddy we ride Wombat, King lake, Neerim, etc . I'm also on a 640adv and mate has a 525. I'll let ya know next time we planning on heading out. Cheers AL

might be able to do a day tour if time permits.

I'm interested in week day rides as well, unfortunately my 640 is due for a major service and new tyres and I'm lacking in both time and money to do it so perhaps not for a little while yet

Hey Fella's,

Thanks for the replies. Had a great day out there today, found a section that was the equivalent of PI when I raced that style of bike. Loamy soil, crazy flowing up/down hill corners and previously burnt out, so no need to worry about what's waiting for you in the side growth.

I'll take note of your names and send a PM when I go out next or happy to receive same.
