Question Security cameras for toy storage

This may have been covered before but. -
Just lost chainsaw and brushcutterfrom work shed. Fleas left the DR though!
I'm guessing a return visit from the same flea who took a chainsaw and other small items a few months ago.
Police have all the info I could give them and this time a rat tail file which may have DNA sample of the culprit. ( used to force a padlock).
I would like to take his photo on the next visit which I expect after I have replaced the stolen items - and he needs something to trade in a hurry.
Looking at stand alone camera for front gate. Does anyone have one of these?
Outdoor camera have a couple at $365 Scoutguard, Uway $412.
Jaycar a waterproof time lapse camera $199
eBay seller Easyway direct a Ltl Acorn $135.
These are all weatherproof with black flash for nice night pics.
Any body used one? I would appreciate any suggestions.

A mate uses these on his sheep property to monitor dingoes, the 4 legged type. $160 bucks on Ebay.

I pretty much copied what this bloke did... Have to say very happy.

I have 3 camera's setup. They record ANY movement detected, they also send my pictures via email or SMS when they detect movement.

I can also log on and view ANY camera from ANY internet connection in the world. I went to America last year and it was nice to simply click on a URL on my phone and see my bike still sitting in the garage all safe and sound REAL TIME!!!! Highly recomended and very cheap to setup providing you have an old PC lying around...

Cheers,

Gaz

PS. I also padlocked my meter box as well so they couldn;t kill the power easily and disable my home internet which would theoretically stop the system notifying me....
