Just in case anyone that checked out Kurt's tent was considering getting one, I ordered one from REI on sale for just under $70 shipped. I'm still hanging in the hammock, but for those times when there won't be any trees or if I want to hit the ground for a change of pace, I figured for $70, I had to get one. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

PS Kurt, was your's a three man or two? This thing seems huge...

WOW, that's a pretty good looking tent, even IF Kurt and now Eric own one....... May need to buy one just as a backup, and add to the tent collection...
Kurt: How did it hold up in the rain this past weekend??

It never ceases to amaze me that when I take a day off work 3 or 4 days of work accumulate and I spend a week catching up.

I was gonna ride the Norton up, but after looking at the forecast, I decided to ride my Ducati instead. I had just spent a couple weeks installing a new headlight, heated grips and a socket to run an electric vest so decide this could be the first test run. Glad i did it.

I meant to compliment your ST2 while we were all there. When I had the M900, I started lusting after a ST2 as a sport tourer. I found 2-valve Ducatis to be about as easy as airheads to keep in good condition

I noticed what appears to be a red R80 ST at the Meltdown. Given the number of R80 STs within our extended group and the number occasionally seen out and about, I wonder about numbers that have been posted claiming that out of the 6K+ built only 900+ were imported to the USA. Any idea for sure how many came to the USA?

Tomorrow I'll tip my toe in the ocean and get my boot wet (just like back in NC )

You're making good time across country. I noticed this week that near Los Angeles (and near the fires) they set a new record high temp of 98F. Hot and hotter, indeed.

I'm sick of it, I'v got this seasons Speedo catalog and I don't know if it's even worth ordering and theres nothing more embarrassing than turning up in last seasons couture.

Yep, damp down here too. I had one good dry day after getting home Monday night. Today is the first day the sun has returned after raining 4.8" over the week. At least the temps are a little more balmy at high 70s to an even 80F.
