YES. DRZ would be just fine. I tried it last fall on my KLR & had to give up but, I had street tires on at the time. After riding your bike, I wouldn't hesitate to ride Loretta Lynns on it.

DRZ is a perfect tool for ripping up the trails at the ranch. Come on out join in and enjoy the fun.

For you local riders. Where else can you pay $50.00 for a 3 day riding event? :even paying the $12 for the optional Saturday Night Banquet Meal is a really good deal for the amount of food drink and prizes given out during the night. Coarse I'm biased there cause most years but not always I've gotten some recognition for traveling the furthest to attend. Got beat out couple yrs in a row by a family who comes up from Florida. Google maps had us like 34miles apart!

Bump back up front. With only two weeks to go before the event we can't wait. Seems like winter just won't give up here in the northeast.

Really looking forward to some warmer weather? Haven't been checking the forecast but anyone know off hand what the night time temps are still getting down to?

Weather.coms 10 day forecast says the coldest low will be 27f. on Tue/Mar/26 & the warmest low will be 48f. on Sun/Mar/31. However, I find the ten day foecast to be highly inaccurate.

My big worry is all the rain we've been getting here & more is predicted. Hopefully the spring ride won't be a wet slippery mess. Some of those hills are steep & might be tricky if they are too wet.

Sounds like the nights are still getting cold down there too

In past 10+yrs experience at Loretta's is that rain there really doesnt much matter. We've had Torrential Downpours overnight and the trails are perfect the next day. The place drains incredibly well. Nothing gets really snotty messy even the big hill climbs. the Rain breaks they have on the trails really help.

Some of you Local Yokels want to dispute this claim?

Looking forward to meeting up with you southern ADV FF

Hey IHF thanks for the compliments . Just went back thru the thread and noticed your comments. Wish I could take credit for the posted Videos. Their Not mine but they are a couple of the better ones showing all of what the ranch has to offer. As for the pace, Our group has a variety of A,B,C class enduro riders. That's the great thing about this ride is its a closed course with everyone going the same direction so you can ride your own ride. You can wait on each other or you can blast the approx~20mile course and meet back up at the camping area.

I ride a 450exc. Last yer I rode a bunch of bikes since I blew up mine the first day. Actually I smashed a rock. It was 1/4" out side my bash plate and knocked a hole in my stator cover. Immediately shut down motor an JB Welded it to get back to camp. The hit must have been hard enough to loosen the screws on the actual stator. Thus causing it to come loose and completely trash my flywheel & stator. Weekend finished!

Had to get the Raptor ready after I found out my brother in law is comming up for L.L.s & he'll need a ride. Not really much of a Quad guy myself but, had some fun on it riding around the yard yesterday as I got everything tweeked for the big weekend.

Can't wait!!

Does anyone know what time the riders meeting will be in the mourning? I checked the mtdr web site & found no mention of what time the meeting was.

Thanx. I think it was the same for last falls ride (the only one Ive been too so far) but, the spring ride is put on by a different group & I didn't want to just assume it would be the same.

Well the Spring ride of 2013 is now in the history books. My family & I rode all 3 days & had a blast. We left around 2:00 on Sunday & as of then no riders had to be air lifted out. Hopefully that remained true for the last few hours left of the day.

Here is the first video I put up on youtube. Once I get the entire ride up, I'll post a link to one or two of the better sections here on this thread. If you care to see the entire 16.3 mile trail you'll have to watch it on youtube, as I don't want to turn this thread into my own personal ride document.

Part One: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei4ayUR5wqo

Hopefully I'll have part two up by this evening but I've got boring "grown up stuff" to do today so we'll see......
