I started to laugh, until I realized my wife's uncle did something very similar in his early stages of Alzheimer's. He meant to get on the highway, then exit one off ramp later. He ended up driving 1.5 hours, before exiting the highway. He ended up handing his wallet to some guy in a parking lot who, luckily, was honest. The guy got his home phone number, and called his family to come get him.
