5 days ago I was topping the pool up and feeling guilty about it, so far I have drained off about nearly 500mm.

Just heard that SES has lost a swift water boat boat trying to rescue people after a car was washed off a flooded causeway. Think it was near Kin Kin. Stay out of the water people.

I'm glad we decided not to take the van to Hervey Bay this weekend as planned. Might have had to float it out.

Pretty wet here but it looks like the worst of it is gone.
Far as I know all the roads are cut in and out of the Bay.
Good idea, if you don't need to leave home, better to stay there.

Tide has gone out so we can get out of our street now. Just have to keep draining water out of the pool.

Mary River at Gympie predicted to hit at least 19.5m and possibly 21m tomorrow. That's a pretty big one. City centre evacuation in full swing.

(Measured at a spot you could have waded across Saturday lunchtime)

I was a bit surprised myself, but that's what the bureau reckons. Here's a link to their most recent.

How far can you go? If it's fine I'll ride around in the morning, but doubt if I'll get out of town.
