Branchville Motors closing? Heard a rumor that the Triumph, Guzzi, Vespa dealer in CT has closed.

Anybody know anything about it?

That would be a shame...

If that's true, that's two lost Triumph dealers in our area in the last year. Ed's Service in Hyde park lost their Triumph dealership, I guess Ed didn't want to go to Triumph school. Ed's is still in business though.

I stopped patronizing Branchville when I got shoddy warranty service for my Vespa. The guy in parts was helpful though. Bought some apparel there.

I just went by Branchville and looks like they are closed already. Door wasn't open and no bikes in the showroom, there was some back in the shop but it appears to be closed down.

Hope the people with bikes in for service don't have a problem getting them back.

The BMW dealer (mentioned earlier in this thread) on Tarrytown Road White Plains, Westchester Motorcycle, is actually a Triumph Dealer (and more?). Drove past this morning and there are bunch of bikes in the window. It's listed as a Triumph Dealer on the Triumph website. It's Sunday, they're closed and it was pretty much a drive-by sighting cause I didn't feel like stopping my car.

I tried calling them about a month ago, no answer. Tried yesterday, at least a voice message saying they were closed. I guess they're still in the opening phase. At any rate I hope they work out. Nice to have a dealer nearby with the other two gone. Triumph/Ducati NYC is added to my "sucks" list.

Route 22 Cycles is gone too...I think they moved to White Plains.

Need to find some place to get inspections done. Rt 22 was great for that...just ride in and done in a couple of minutes, no appointment needed.

There is a guy in Brewster (owns a repair shop near Kobackers Market) that does them on Saturday mornings only...from 8 AM to Noon. I could also try Anthony over at Hermans...they might do inspections too.

Going to miss the guys at Rt 22...I never had a problem there and always got great pricing from them...but not enough to go all the way to White Plains.

Wow, didn't know Rt 22 caved.

Maybe out of your area, but Cross River Shell on 35 and N Salem are very easy with inspections. You just take the bike in before 5 and they do it on the spot. No appointments and very little waiting. Also Westchester Powersports in Bedford Hills does them, but his hours are more limited and you should probably call first.

Hudson Valley Motorcycles in Ossining is also pretty good on inspections. No appt. needed, I forget on Sat. if it's before 12 or before 2, no problems during the week.

Since moving to CT, I found out they don't do motorcycle inspections. Whoopie, a benefit.
