Need to find some place to get inspections done. Rt 22 was great for that...just ride in and done in a couple of minutes, no appointment needed.

There is a guy in Brewster (owns a repair shop near Kobackers Market) that does them on Saturday mornings only...from 8 AM to Noon. I could also try Anthony over at Hermans...they might do inspections too.

Going to miss the guys at Rt 22...I never had a problem there and always got great pricing from them...but not enough to go all the way to White Plains.

Hermans does inspections

Hudson Valley Motorcycles in Ossining is also pretty good on inspections. No appt. needed, I forget on Sat. if it's before 12 or before 2, no problems during the week.

Since moving to CT, I found out they don't do motorcycle inspections. Whoopie, a benefit.

Rt 22 Cycles is now known as Westchester Motorcycles

Here is their website:
http://www.tristatecyclesales.com/

They are now a Triumph dealer apparently

What was the scoop on these guys when they were Rt 22 cycles?

That sucks. The guys I ride with like to rip through there all the time. I give them alot of grief when Im with them and usually dont cross the barriers. Hardly worth the 5-10 minutes of dirt roads especially now with them hiding in the woods waiting for you.

Here is the word from one of the event organizers:

"There was a big misunderstanding by water works police officers who thought the those old woods roads were on water property. The Tolland Police Department responded and set them straight. Those particular water cops are known by the town to be over zealous in their patrolling jurisdiction. We actually got an apology from the Fire Chief for the disruption. They mean well, but just don't know their boundaries. They will learn. We are a responsible club following all the rules, coordinating our rides with every town we ride through. We will not put you, the rider, in jeopardy at our events."

Well that would explain why they were so cocksure, even though they didn't really know what they were talking about.

We rolled up on them after Jim, they asked "about" registration, not for ours. We explained that the organizers require registration, insurance, spark arresters and silencers and riders will be turned away for loud or unregistered rides. Also explained that even though the bikes may look like dirt bikes, they are all street legal, plated and insured. She was waving people past as we were talking so I think they figured out pretty quick we were lagit.
