nope. i'm no where near CT (thankfully).

hoping this bike is a little more rideable for her. it's weighted more like a dirt bike (albeit a 400lbs one) and is much thinner than her current f650gs. so far she feels a bit more comfortable on it except for the having to butt-dance on the seat to get a foot down. kouba makes a lowering link - will probably give that a shot.

Being not 6'8",,i have found that if the suspention is set for weight with proper back spring you might not have to lower it ande loose travel.
Just sayn,,,,she ll sit flater on the bike if it leans to her proper weight.
Basicly ive had better luck touchn the ground on a bike set for my weight then one that's just been lowered. If the suspention is set for 180lbs,and shes 110lbs the linkige is still gona have the 180lbs spring in it,she wont sag enough.Or maybe she just needs enough.
Just figure id tell ya what I think on the subject.

Now I say this cause this subject is closer to the ground for me then you.

ha! ya i have been told that already. i'll look into that - i'm sure it's setup for the atypical male rider and not a lighter female rider.

Well, ive never flat footed a lowered bike.Or much of any bikes for that matter. But the best ive had touching the ground luck with were always set for weight and ride style.
Im sure im a lot heavyer then the little women too.I might be short but I got nuff ass to sink the suspention.
Where doing the springs would give her the advantage.IMHO of course.

I know the JAPs,used to set everything up 175/180lbs riders.

Ok, that's it - I'm not riding again for the rest of the year....................

I learned a lesson - If you go ice riding, you should have ice tires.

"Nuff said.

Is it at the end of the road going into Fahnestock? Does it go anywhere?

yes, the main trail/road ends up at the taconic. there is a gazillion side trails off of it, powerlines that end up on 301 etc.
