As a youngster I can remember bringing in blue claw crabs and fishing for striped bass under the bear mountain bridge. There was a dock where the Day-Liner would tie up before turning around and heading back to NYC. There was also a long stone wall where we would also throw our traps out from.

Then in the evening we would walk all the way to the train bridge that's way down (south) of the bridge. There's a small section in the middle where my brother and I would sit with our beer, lantern and crab traps...all was fine until one of those 200+ car trains would come by.

Pretty sure the day liner still comes up. on sunday i found out the island just south of that railroad bridge is accessible. Its a bird sanctuary ...Iona Island. The roads short but its kinda cool to give a quick check out if you're in the area

4:50 run out of gas, walk home with son after dropping off unexpected truck load of trackmates
5:30 arrive home start dinner for kids
5:45 stop dinner go to gas station with wife
6:20 arrive home with freshly fueled truck, continue dinner prep
6:45 dinner
7:00 find couch pass out
8:00 reville.. take daughter to volleyball (not really reville because already awoken at 7:20 7:40 cause son is sick)
8:30 drop daughter off at volleyball
8:40 pass out in car
10:15 jump up put of car seat clawing at anything near by as daughter just woke me up by banging on window
10:30 drop daughter off at house
11:00 dump old tv V8's exahust that have been in back of truck for past 18 months
11:30 arrive back at home
11:40 check out adv and post shit nobody cares about
