what you should be asking is, "how much that tunetech cost ya?" if it was so simple, wouldn't everyone do it? mine cost $0.00. just saying. although somewhat "permanent" it can be reversed quite easily.

stop sweating it. 60$ if you buy it from CJ (and support an inmate who has developed awesome parts for our bikes) or 10-20$ if you build your own. Info on how to build a cable is available on the Tune ECU website or on the first page of the "TuneECU - got tunes" thread.

I bought mine from CJdesigns cos i'd rather my business go to an inmate.

eitherways, TuneECU is way cheaper than taking your bike to a "dealer" and pay them what 40$ an hour to do the same job while you sip a latte ?

For test purpose, what about disconnecting the plug or will that not allow the bike to start? Disconnect, test ride and get results. If you like it cut the wires and reconnect! If you don't like it, just reconnect and move on!
