In?

I want to be "in", but I need to ride with someone who has a GPS, hazman27@yahoo.com

Searching for a used loaded GPS. Next stop, pawn shop.

will commit to "in" in a few days...

No problem, lots of rider to hook up with. Counting you as "in"

YardDog, CRF250L was actually my first guess, but I thunk too hard I guess. Congrats on the new ride, I probably won't recognize you They look like sweet little bikes

Of course i'm in

The inside Scoop~
I have been answering a few people about camping and the general ride so I wanted to add a little from my experience like last year.

Camping: Some camp and some don't, but both have fun and do the same ride. I think camping is more fun, but carrying the gear on my bike is a problem so I may hotel if it is cold enough for a sleeping bag...that simple. .

Friday Night HoteL: If you don't know a lot of riders...You really need to consider coming Friday night. Everyone starts showing on Friday and usually sit and have dinner at a place next to the hotel...the trick is to sit by the other guys wearing riding gear and hats that say things like, "DRZ, Yamaha, MSR" or something like that. If you miss dinner and think you won't find anyone riding, just look in the parking lot at the 20 other dirt bikes and 20 trailers pulling dirt bikes and follow them. They are all nice guys and helpful too.

Devils Elbow: I live here in Waynesville/St Robert. FYI- Devil's Elbow, MO is a town...the Elbow Inn is really more of a place to eat by a bridge...I don't go there and it is not really a great "representation" of our town. I think about 14 people probably live there, but it is an Icon in the area- Go see it, but we have a lot of new places to eat on the strip and would recommend you consider eating there.

Hotel Vs. Camping in St Robert: If you have a hotel you are set because most guys stay about 2 miles from the Elbow. If you want to camp there are a couple places like Lazy Days which is close too. Terry (owner of the Elbow Inn) has offered for any of us to camp for free behind the BBQ down by the river- Good luck sleeping with the music all night and you may be the type that spends too much time at the bar and destroys your riding ability too.
I live about 8 miles away in Waynesville and all of you (Yes 60-80) are welcome to camp at my place. I have a large field with a fire pit- (plenty of wood), a hose to wash off your bike and gear off with and you will be treated like family. Don't worry about rain either, you can sleep inside the shop too...it is better than it sounds...the shop has cable and a big screen so you will not be on a greasy floor. We have a bathroom and anything else you may need too. You will enjoy yourself, but no alcohol please.

Note: If your bike is broken and you can limp it to my shop, I have all the tools you will need to fix it or you can store it inside and pick it up later. Flat tires, welder or a power washing...yep, you can do it here.

Riding ability and Navigation: A lot of guys ask if they can make the ride...Seriously...there are about 20 different groups within the group. You will find a comfortable riding group and speed. As for getting lost... Farms rules apply, but my advice is to find a guy with a GPS on his bike and follow him.

Bottom line- This ride is great- I have been on all but one (in Iraq that year) and do not plan to miss any. Come and enjoy the ride of the year up front.

I'm in~

In

Okay, I'm in. What time Saturday morning are the kickstands up? I will probably be camping Friday night, don't know how far from the hotel or starting point I'll be. Would also like to camp at the barn/shop Saturday night. If you don't mind, I like to travel light, especially in the wallet... hazman27@yahoo.com

I am in and probably my brother again this year. He won't know until closer to ride time.

No Tenere this year. Maybe just maybe I can keep from drowning the WR this year.
