Thanks, I'm leaning towards the Drz400. Also, Does this ride go onto private property? or is this all public road?

100% public.
Zero single track-----zero trails-------all public roads big enough for a pickup truck.
Some pavement-------but not much. A bazillion water crossings.

I am looking forward to this ride! I am new to the world of ds riding since I sold my big cruiser bike, Yamaha Roadstar Silverado 1600, and bought a 2004 KLR 650. I havent road it much but plan on putting on the miles this year. So far it has been a blast! I had always owned street bikes and had never even been on a dirt bike. It used to be dirt and gravel roads were bad, now dirt and gravel roads are good! It has opened up a whole new riding experience to me.

I rode a Super Tenere last year. No real problems, spent both days trying to keep up with 250's and succeded; but I was quite tired on Sunday.

Oh sure, "just start farther up stream", remember?? "Let the current carry you down and help you."

Thats what the lawn chair experts said......

Then I also remember this comment too, " we wouldnt have told ya to try it if we didnt think you couldnt have made it."

I think that was right after I said something to the effect of, "I think you all just wanted some cheap entertainment..."

I'll take the ferry too..thanks anyway!!

Hey I see proof that there was at least 100ft of single track in '12.
You back home BigDog? We need to hook up and ride. BTW Found some new good stuff for the "around Red Bud loop".
