I'm on a Mac, but I removed the xml and changed the suffix to .gpx and .gdb and removed the spaces in the names and they imported into Basecamp just fine.

I was thinking I'd head back home on Sunday but damn that looks fun so I might need to ride back on Monday now.
I did this it worked ...thanks

I have not personally met you Scotty, but I am coming from Memphis and so excited. I have spent many of days riding that part of Arkansas. Super awesome times!

I am assuming that day 2 tracks will be posted as well on your website?

We are leaving Memphis early thursday morning in hopes of getting a room in Eureaka Springs to save time friday morning. Would you recommend doing that or advise camping at the Turrpentine Creek? We hate to miss opportunity to meet some great people.

Not sure what the local news guessers say but my weather channel app is predicting perfect weather. If it's raining we can always go kayak the Buffalo.

I've always said "if it's not raining, you're not camping."

Possibly teeing myself up for a bit of abuse...

Have been through the actual AR 500 website, but am not actually seeing where the ride begins, just where it ends the first and second evenings/camping.

I have been planning on again attending the Moonshine Lunch Run in Moonshine, IL, but this looks way more fun!

Hmmm...so, looking to see where I would plan on landing/camping on Thursday before things get kicked off.

Thanks!

I checked the Weather Channel and they have the same as DRZ Charlie reported... looks like nice weather...!!!

We are getting bad storms here in Oklahoma on Tuesday and Wednesday, the TV stations are already freaking out... but should be 60's and sunny for the ride on Thursday to beautiful Arkansas!

It's a great tool. I make a plan, draw a Route, convert to Track, stick in Waypoints, upload to the "devise". Done, go ride.
I am using CNNA and thought it had all (or most) of the roads that the 24k Topo has. Even looked on Garmin site and and searched the demo 24k map for the off-road section of Day 1 that is not on CNNA and it did not appear to be in the Topo map either.

In CNNA in BaseCamp when I try to convert tracks into routes with unmapped off-road sections, CNNA routes around these sections. My settings are no "avoidances" and "shortest route".

When trying to create new routes along these unmapped off-road sections it also routes around, sometimes a LONG way around. The work-around is to draw as much as you can on-road in CNNA, then for off-road sections switch the active map in BaseCamp to a non-routable map (Global Map for instance) and continue with "tracks," then finish on-road with CNNA. This becomes easier with practice, but is still a PITA.

Since the 24K Topo is routable with navigation prompts, have you been successful routing along off-road sections (no mapped roads)? Will the route retain its integrity and prompt with voice and directional instructions?
