It may have been the best one day of riding in my life!!
I had a great time riding with you and the rest of the Blues Brothers as well. That was a great group we had. Sorry I had to make Saturday longer than it already was with the flat tire. Great shot of the view looking down on Osage Creek from Lovers Leap. I will be posting a RR as soon as I catch my breath.

Thanks to Scotty for putting on such an awesome event and special thanks to O'Leary for staying back with me on Sunday getting my front brake sorted. Dumped it 3 times at practically zero speed on pavement and zero times on the trail.
Guess its time to order the low seat. See everyone next year!
Glad to hear you made it back to Mobile. I hope all went well traveling by your lonesome. You get the Iron Butt Award for traveling the farthest by bike. Take care and see you next year.

Great time

Just wanted to say a big "thank you" to Scott, Tanya and the rest of their family and staff at Turpentine Creek for a great ride this past weekend. Aside from the great folks, fantastic scenery and good weather, one of the highlights of the week had to be staying in the same hotel in Eureka with some people that were attending a UFO convention.

I sure had a great time. I wish I could remember anyone's name. Thanks especially to Scotty and his wife and staff for your hospitality. None of my pictures are very spectacular and I didn't take many. Maybe there will be something cool in the videos.

I wanted to say that Scotty, Tanya et al did a wonderful job. Additionally I wanted to say that O'leary went far above and beyond when he laid out Day 2. I have been riding in NWA for a long time now and that route was by far one of the best I've ridden here. Kudo's

Day one and two

Some of my crew (sorry for the wonky picture), I had so many KLR's I thought I was going to have to do the doohickey fix and get a milk crate to compete.

Day 1 - Ten minutes after leaving TC doing the trail into Mcllroy Forest and then riding into the Madison County Wildlife Management Area (forgive the longish & unedited video, I haven't learned how to edit yet).

It was a great time! My favorite part was getting to hear you tell Charlie that you had not said "kickstand" all day..... not 1 minute later Charlie takes off with his kickstand down

Thanks for posting pictures for us bums that didn't make it. This whole work thing is getting in the way of fun time. A few more weeks / projects and I'll be caught up. Maybe then !

Early Day 1 Vid

Seeing some of the videos made me want to post one of early on Day 1. I will post a real ride report this evening. That was a great video of the Buffalo River Crossing. You gotta love that canoe coming thru while Charlies posse is crossing.

It is always refreshing to meet people who have true passion in their life. Our hosts were exemplary in that respect. Scotty, many heartfelt thanks for putting on an event such as this and especially to Tanya for putting up with the loud, obnoxious trail rats that invaded her home on Monday evening. Many don't realize the time and man hours that are required unless they have done it themselves in the past.

Brad, Stewart, Dave, John, Matt, Donnie, Earl and anyone else I can't remember....thanks for being easy on the noob! I'm sure there will be many more AR 500s in my future. If I can figure out how to get my pics & video posted from Picassa I'll add them later.

btw Brad, Michelle needs to be fired....I don't care how hot she sounds.

awesome!

Big thanks to Scott and Tanya and the Turpentine crew for the great time and good vibes. Seriously one of the best weekends of my life.

HUGE shout out to red team leaders Devro, and the Memphis twins Ken and Paul for letting me hang with the racer red team. I learned so much and had a blast.

I'm going to post on Facebook about the Turpentine Wildlife Center and try to drum up some more donations. That's a noble, awesome thing Scott's doing out there and learning about the cats was a highlight for sure.

Mucho Gracias from Tejas!
