Street riders sign in!

I've had very little feedback from those who might like to do a street ride, so I've decided to drive down Friday afternoon and find out who's doing what. At that time I'll hand out route sheets, highlight maps, etc for anyone interested.

If there is serious interest in a led 245 mile group ride, I'll return on my bike in the morning with a 10:00 am departure plan. Otherwise, I'll just do a nice street ride from my place near Oneonta and meet you all Saturday afternoon.

Dick

First option - I will lead a small group of sporty riders as is outlined in prior posts. This ride will take place Saturday. So far, only scudrunner82 has signed on.

Second option - I've generated a route guide sheet for a 245 mile ride that you can follow on your own on any bike.

Third option - Bring a good (such as Jmaps, not the green give away) Delaware County street map and I'll highlight the good roads for you to find and ride. Or combine options 2 & 3.

Note: The Sunoco station in Downsville does NOT carry Jmaps DC maps. Go to the Citgo opposite the diner.

Let us know what you'd like.

Also, if any of you do these rides, put it on a GPS for the future.

Dick

Considering that people will be loading files up themselves, and riding what/ when they want, that would probably be best.

If you are concerned about the rides you guys are leading, I'm sure we can come up with a "non-interference" plan easily enough.

And very accurate.

Ho: statement = reality
H1: statement does not = reality

With a P value (for CI of 95%) of .198 I fail to reject Ho
There for I can say that with 95% confidence there is statistical significance that I am a good person and not a good role model

It looks like there are 2 led ds rides, a big bike/novice ride with self guided option, and a "not novice" ride.

As well as a street ride with self guided option.

Can I do the not novice ride on street tires?

Will there be help to pick up my bike if I drop it?

I have a 950SE. Is that an okay bike for the not novice ride?

Laugh Pot Luck

Thanks for organizing this! Right now we are planning on rolling in with our RV, bikes in tow. That said, I'm happy to offer our microwave/oven for reheating and of course extra frig space for beers and salads. We haven't had much luck connecting with folks at the campground, so we're just going to show up and hope they have room. Excited to meet everyone!

What? you need examples? Ok. Some burgers. Macaroni salad. Potato Salad. mmm Enchiladas. Salad. Corn on the Cob.

N through Z - bring an appetizer or dessert type item. Ok, If you don't know what these are, just stay home.. chicken wings.. cookies...

Bear in mind, we're in a campground with limited ability to cook (I'm guessing), so things that can be easily warmed up, or eaten room temperature, are best.

Example: Last year, GirlRyder supplied some 100 Nathans' hotdogs, complete with buns and mustard, for the masses. They were on sale. I had some overtime pay to spend. Work within your budget.

Don't feel obligated to bring a massive amount of food. Enough to feed 4 or 5 friend would be great. We'll likely have way too much, if everyone could do that.

If you are trailering your bike to the event (ahem.. yes, it's ok), you can likely bring "more" than someone riding to the event. Please bring ice and coolers and plug in items like coffee pots. Bags of Charcoal. Paper plates etc. A certain someone brought us Eggos and a toaster!

If you are riding to the event, anything you bring will be a miracle and welcomed with open arms. Think.. bag of chips.. six pack of beer.

A pot luck is basically a meal shared with friends, where everyone contributes something, and has an enjoyable time. I'm sure we can manage that.

Her highness has spoken.

Just for your peace of mind, I would be very surprised if space becomes an issue.
