One week and 3 Temples of speed
After months of waiting the time has come of set of on our first motorbike adventure.
I'm so excited we don't even depart until tomorrow but I feel I have to write about it.
First who are "we"?
Well I am James and I am the rider of the partnership and my better half Sue will be riding pillion for the journey. ( photos to follow later )
Where are we going and how are we getting there?
I have a bit of a confession to make at this point, as I have sat here and read other Ride Reports in awe of people travelling to far of exotic places by comparison our little trip seems to be cheating somehow.
Is it an adventure? To others no, but to use yes.
Enough waffle where are they going you might be asking, if you haven't clicked away already.
Was as the title says we will be visiting 3 Temples of speed.
The first two are shadows of their former selves Circuit_de_Spa-Francorchamps and Nürburgring whilst the last is still very much alive TT_Circuit_Assen
Leaving tomorrow we will be riding my Tiger down to the Channel Tunnel. (A wonderful engineering feat for those that don't know about it.)
Once in France will the ride virtually East across the border into Belgium to our accommodation.
Monday to Thursday will be spent exploring the Ardennes, Eifel and Luxembourg. Visiting of course but not riding the circuits. Much as I'd love to say I'd ridden "The Ring" alas it's not for me this time.
Friday is a trip up through German to Assen ready for the MotoGP
I am in a very fortunate position that my wonderful other half was happy to receive tickets to the MotoGP for Christmas. Not sure how many blokes can say that.
Race day next Saturday then riding back Sunday.
As I say not the wildest of adventures, but it means a lot to us.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far
More to follow....

Sounds like a great trip! Looking forward to reading your observations and adventures. Lucky ducks to be going to MotoGP....do you have a rider you follow? Crutchlow, perhaps?
