Getting Tires Mounted While Touring - Either Fla or Ga.

Hey ADVers that Know ALL

I might swing to Daytona & I know I will have to replace my shoes during this trip. The Diablos I have on there now are still good, but I know slabbing it from Pa to Fla will kell the tires.

I know I will buy Michelin PR2s next.

So, my thoughts are;

I could order the tires & have em shipped to my bro-in-laws in Atl (I plan on stopping there on way back). But I would need someone to mount them there.

Do U guys know of a local mech type or a good cheap shop that will mount tires for less than $80. clams? Pref. a place north of I-20 - around Smyrna area.

OR

I could go to a shop in Daytona & have them done while I'm there.

U Fla guys - whats a decent spot where I won't get F'ed too hard around Daytona area?

Thanks

Rhino

Give Tim & Ernie a call in Lawrenceville, GA.
They provide great service and will probably save you having to preorder the tires. Can't speak to what they charge to change them but the tire prices are as good as you will find.

A lot of Tent Space's offer a tire changer. You might peruse the Tent Space offers in the area you're interested and work with someone from this site. Bring a case of beer or a bottle of whiskey, and I'd say that'd be a fair trade for anyone.

For extended trips, keep the nat'l chain CycleGear.com in mind.
Tire prices are great to good, and they change 'em out cheap.
