I found Ms. Rat at the end of Thunderstruck Rd. Great tag Hank, I haven't been on those roads before. New tag tomorrow.

The rat has a new hiding place. To find it first go here.

Go about a mile past that sign and you will cross the AT.

The rat is under the middle of the first board of the foot bridge hiding in the leaves. Lots of good riding around here, road and dirt.

That'll make for a beautiful ride for someone. Great place, and you don't need a dual sport either. Isn't Twin Valley Rider Breakfast at Paint Bank tomorrow?

John's Creek Valley is always a beautiful ride. I was going to dual-sport it and ride Tub Run Rd. and 601 over the mountain but I was short on time and rode Rt. 42 and 658 on pavement. Very good either way.

Good thing I left the KTM at home, it doesn't have an inspection sticker on it and I went through a road check on 42 going home! Better to be lucky than good sometimes.

Rear brakes are overrated. You still have the fronts.

Grab. 8 tenths of a mile past the sign. Beautiful ride.

RAT was nice and cozy in her baggie.

New tag. Between rt 220 and rt 221 on the BRP lies a substantial boulder....

Coming from the 220 side, you want to stop a few yards past the boulder. This is not an overlook, but there is plenty of space to pull over.

As you walk back to the boulder, you will notice a fissure in the face of the rock.

Keep your eyes on the fissure

At the base of the fissure there are two sticks forming an arrow

Use one of the sticks to move the leaves aside. You will find Lady Rat, again in her Baggie, under the leaves and pine needles.

Not this one. KJH is always pretty quick to post too. Guess I'm not heading to your neck of the woods just yet today...

I know we have had no rain here in town since Thursday. There could have been a t-storm there maybe. I am more inclined to think someone decided to scale the rock, and noticed the RAT. There is really not enough room to pull a cage off the road there, nearest overlook is at least 1/2 mile away
