I thought about it...but I decided to stay around here so I would be home in time to watch The Masters.
I should have discussed this, decided about 11 am to go, was actually going for the RAT and the VA tag. Left slightly after noon.Overshot the route for the RAT, rode about 3 miles past Hillsville. I was not paying attention. Doubled back and found my route to Buffalo Mountain. Unfortunately the tag site was buffalo mountain reserve area. After about 12 miles of gravel, both in and out, I had a flat just a few miles out side of Willis, Va on 221. I limped to the store in Willis, and between shoveling 4 bucks into the air compressor, and buying a plug kit. and using the water hose, was able to plug the tire. Tire seemed to be holding pressure, I water tested it, so I went for the RAT

I'm in Blackstone today and head back to OH tomorrow. You don't want me to get ahold of Rat because I'm going to hide him along a border

NEW TAG
Robinson Gap Rd and the BRP. You need to get creative with the intersection. RAT is nestled behind the largest, highest stone.

Not that I do not trust you but I will have to see for my self. I did not know that Bobbletts even had a gate.

I can verify that the gate at 317A was closed on Sunday.

Had I known it was there when I went by on Sunday, I would have grabbed it. I had 3 NC riders with me and it would have been a cool diversion from the dash to get home.

Seriously, this was a missed opportunity.

If it's still there Friday afternoon, I'll go get it. I know this exact location.

This is a great tag location. It would be great for someone who has never been there before to "discover" this area. It's a little tricky to get to from the BRP if you've never been there before, and there are many miles of beautiful, fun and easy forest service roads in that area. (There is some technical stuff around too if you know where to look)

If it's still there this weekend, I'll go get it. Meanwhile it would be a great adventure and discovery for somebody new to the Robinson Gap area.
