Crossed
I looked at it hard when I was there on the 990 but didn't. It's only about 7 miles from my house so I went back on 450 and crossed. If you want to cross it go down the river toward the rapids but its still deep.

I found the area occupied with a few young ladies. They probably were a little uncomfortable when I arrived, but luckily I was able to quickly find the RAT and explain my reasons for being there and that made it less awkward.

The bag was torn and they provided a new one, so she won't get wet. It looks like rain so this is probably just in time.

Anyone want to consider getting a new dingus that is weatherproof? I meant to ask before. I would be glad to replace this one with something that doesn't need a baggie.

I usually have a new baggie on hand, to use if needed. At one time RAT was in a gallon size industrial strength baggie. It is a cat toy, if it gets wet, no big deal, but it could get nasty enough that you would not want it in or near your tank bag. Next time I grab it, if I have enough time I will run it through the wash, and give it a double layer baggie.

That new XTZ is hard to resist, especially if I have to slab it very far.

The XTZ doesn't have off-road tires...yet. And, the KLR is 200 lbs. lighter, so it is definitely more fun and manageable on the dirt and gravel.

Go "hardcore" and the KLR will probably show up.

BTW, I just replaced all the brake pads on the KLR yesterday morning @ 12,500 +/- miles and they were very thin. I had never done that job before, but it was very easy and only took ~1/2 hour.

The KLR needs new knobbies and I wish the XTC had 50/50's instead of the Metzler street tires...but I've been procrastinating.

How about a new Roanoke Rat...er...Rabbit? He is quite expressive when you touch him inappropriately.

Just a suggestion. I have found the baggie torn on at least 3 grabs. I've double bagged it twice. It's getting kind of gross.
Let me know if this is acceptable or if you want to stick with Ms. Rat.

And Davo...does this count for an appearance of the blue KLR? Note: I did take here out for a big ride up in the forest last Sunday. Just hasn't been on a RAT run for a while.

Is this one of those, "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission." deals??

The people that bought the former "Holy Land " property have ducks, guineas, turkeys, chickens, donkeys and pigs on site. Whoever grabs this tag should buy a dozen eggs. The owners are very friendly and offered me a ride around the property. It is 60 + acres and there are displays depicting the resurection of Christ. Worth seeing , and the tour was offered for free.
