From the last tag I continued down 604.1 across 311 and followed 604.2 to John's Creek. Ended up here,

At this intersection go up the mountain,

At the top to the right you will see the AT. The Rabbit is hiding under the stump.

Signs

I found this sign over that way yesterday. This one is actually a Virtual Geo-Cache also, so I collected my 217th Geo-Cache and my 5th "Virtual" Geo-Cache by finding it.

This sign is about Mary Draper Ingles...who escaped from Shawnee Indians who had captured her and her children. She made an amazing trek from Ohio to return to her home. Her story is also part of the history of the New River Gorge.

And this awesome view:

That marker is just down the hill from my house. Don't recognize the barns though.

You live in a beautiful area then, Bob. I really enjoyed the day over there and chasing the rat was the only reason for me to be over there. I will be back. I saw too many FS roads to explore in one day. I did over 250 miles on my rat chase.

The new tag looks very interesting. If it is still there next weekend, I will try to get over there again.

You had to go right by those barns (I zoomed in a little), but they are visible from the intersection of John's Creek and Dick's Creek.

Everybody has a creek over there.

I did the same route...only in the opposite direction. You should have seen my tracks. I didn't see any other mc tracks when I was on either of those roads, and I watch closely for them.

I also intentionally pour on the throttle coming out of the turns just to make some visible tracks.

Did you notice them? If not, maybe I should just save the wear and tear on my tires.

I saw tracks on 604.1 but didn't notice any on 604.2. When I was looking for the rock I was going slow after that I was moving on a little faster.
