i've been up there a few times since the landslide. Both ends are closed but easy to get around the rocks on a bike. I think it's better because it keeps the cars away.

There is a severe weather warning over Bathurst right now, large hailstone, winds, and heavy rain. Moving towards the coast.

Are you lot going no matter what?

Sydney's looking pretty bad right now as well. I'm keen to go but it'll depend on conditions. Ill make an assessment tomorrow morning. A bit of rain is ok, but if its real bad weather then ill probably postpone.
It's certainly looking like 500 EXC weather rather than 990...

Thanks mate. It's certainly a concern. Bridle track might be ok, it's Turon gates rd I'm concerned with. I've been turned back by flash floods along there before.

Guys and girls (planning on going),
What are your thoughts on the weather?
Flash flooding in the Sofala/Hill End area is an issue. Do we change the route? Postpone? Decide tomorrow morning?

I think everyone coming is on smaller bikes so it should be manageable if the creeks/rivers don't swell to much.

I just got home from work (Bathurst) and it pissed down in a few places. I think you will be ok but I'd skip the Turon crossings as ive seen a bike nearly wash down the river when the crossing didn't look that bad

Id come along but its wifeys birthday, better do the right thing
