It turns out the truck had a cracked piston. We're lucky to have made it home. I sold the truck to some Mexican who couldn't speak English well. Good memories...[/QUOTE]

Tell me you fixed the problem or sold for what it was worth with the problem.......or I've lost all faith in humanity and my character judgment!.

It was a Dodge with a 5.2L engine, which I assumed was the same old 318 Mopar that I had in my '88 Ramcharger, but it turns out my truck was from those dark Daimler-Chrysler days and the engine was actually made by Mercedes which meant parts were hard to get and stupid-expensive and a rebuilt long block costs more than the value of the truck... so I sold the truck for about half it's running value.

Overall the truck was pretty easy to work on so I could have fixed the engine myself, but I didn't want to keep that engine. I bet the new owner had a Mitsubishi V6 booger-welded into it a week later.

Currently 10 people of which 5 are kids, 3 RV's, 2 mighty XR400's, and a dog.
Some maybe's from this thread.

You?

Holy redundant bikes batman. Probably a good thing. We are a 1 to 1 ratio of bike to rider. Last time we went with 9 bikes, came back with 6 working. Hole in air filter took care of the little crf50. Teenager broke the yz125 being a teenager thinking no such thing as limits.

You plan on jumping dunes with the green bike?

We should have crazy 2-strokes for the dunes and easy-riding 4 strokes for the trails.

I want to say yes, but I have this issue; if I can't spot my landing before I take off (even if I've scouted it and know the landing is safe) I tend to puss out and feather the throttle and only catch a few feet of air. Maybe I'll be able to overcome that, but I doubt it. I certainly won't be filming any GoPro promotional footage any time soon. If you want to take a shot at big air on my bike, you're welcome to.

You're funny. I appreciate the offer and may (hell yes) take it for a spin, but I will try (emphasis on try) to keep both tires on the ground. You know I will have a goofy smile ear to ear while riding that bike.
