We've made trips to town in the past. I don't have large fuel carrying capacity other then multiple 5 gallon containers.

The Delicate Arch hike is a short one and is always good at sunset (rocks looks the most red).
Thanks for the offer, may take you up on that. We'll see how the week plays out.

out

Well thanks for indulging me in my uncertainty. It looks like my timeframe for being able to be out there is much shorter now and probably going to involve mostly biking in the slickrock area. Would have loved to catch everyone for a ride, but I didn't realize Whitewash was so far away from Moab. Plans are to be out there Thursday 21st and either leave Saturday even or Sunday morning most likely. If you guys end up making it down closer to Moab let me know!! I'll have the motorcycle along as well.

Where do I get OHV stickers?

I'm not planning on going into Moab. Is there some place in Grand Junction I can get stickers for the bikes?

You can also get the yearly OHV permits online. Stickers won't make it here in time for the trip, but you can print the temporary's as soon as you purchase and carry them on the bike. The temp's are good for 60 days, stickers usually follow in the mail a week later.

I-70 is closed today due to snow. The weather guessers show more snow tomorrow, and through the weekend. I'm crossing my fingers but looking for alternatives for travel to Utah. Ever take I-80 through Wyoming to get to utah? That would be a long trip, but dry. crap.

I-80 is a great way to get to Salt Lake, but it's going to add probably 6 hours to get to Moab. Hwy 50 is a shorter option, but if I-70 is closed, 50 might be too.

It's not closed. It was earlier but reopened a little while ago. I think eastbound may still be closed but westbound is open again. A few fender benders apparently, due to the snow, that have now cleared.

Not sure what I was worried about. We made it over the passes, in glenwood now. It's all downhill from here.
