Both League converts, well, Farrell's father was (although I always thought he was shite in a Union shirt and Brian Ashton's perseverance with him cost us game wins) and both Fez-heads!

I don't know that I'd go that far with Farrell. He's Jonny Wilkinson V 2.0. Brings home the wins for England, but makes it boring as balls to watch. If I was a play-by-play commentator for England matches, I would just play a loop that said, "Aaaand Farrell kicks. Aaaand Farrell kicks. Aaaand..."

After-all, if they didn't try so hard to stop the English playing an open, expansive, running game, England would beat them by playing an open, expansive, running game.

No they wouldn't. They'd kick. Cause that's what England does.

Three ugly games this weekend.
Scotland sets a record for penalties conceded, a very uninspiring draw in Dublin and today, England squandered too many opportunities early on and Italy were unlucky, beaten by a good defence in the end. Still, it makes the game in Cardiff next week that bit more interesting.

I'm predicting England by more than 7.
Off to London and the Thornbury Castle to enjoy the match with a few buddies. May try to drink the bar but I've not had six pints in a while now ... Real Ale on Today at the Thornbury Castle: Fullers London Pride ABV 4.1% A rich, smooth, wonderfully balanced beer. A distinctive malty base with a well developed hop. Twickenham Naked Ladies ABV 4.4% An outstanding hoppy beer, golden in colour with a luscious aroma and a good body. SamBrook Wandle ABV 3.8% A beautiful golden colour. Fresh sweetness cut through by a delicate lingering bitterness. Westerham Finchcocks Original ABV 3.5% Golden bronze sweet, citrus and fresh hoppiness, fruity with a dry finish By The Horns Hopslinger ABV 6.1% Brewed with North American hops to create a tropical, citrus and pine full bodied IPA. Rebellion Mutiny ABV 4.5% A reddish, full bodied premium ale, with a rich malty flavour and a lasting hoppy, bitter sweet finish
