2013 - 2014 R1200GS-W availability.

I'd like to update anyone who may be considering panniers for their new GS-W, that in our shipment which is due in very soon, we do still have a few "Special" sets available!

Here is what is what will be available to ship soon:

35L Special Pannier Set, Matt Black Anodized: 2 Available

45L Special Pannier Set, Matt Black Anodized: 1 Available

Once these sets are spoken for, they will go back to "Pre-Order" status to be placed on our next stock order with Globescout (which will be placed soon). Here's the direct link: http://advdepot.com/globescout-world...3-r1200gs.html

Feel free to PM, email, or call me to check status and availability on any other items.

Love the pink Neon in the picture, BTW.

Finally, after an looooooong wait, my black special set for my GSW came in today. The box with the racks was looking quite ragged upon delivery but the racks themselves appear unharmed. The bags were packed very well but that box looked like it was shipped by angles anyway.

Overall, everything looks real nice. Ill take some pics and probably get them mounted tomorrow once I get some sleep as ive been up for about two days now due to work and all the bad storms that just passed through the midwest.

Ill weigh them and the racks too seeing as there has been some discussion about that recently on another thread. My calibrated arms dont seem to think they are much different than my Jesses I had on a previous GS.

Pannier comparison chart - a few reflections

Hi all

We would prefer not to engage in comparison games and focus our efforts on innovation but we cannot ignore the false information being published about our products and promoted on the forums.

The comparison chart published by Advdepot is misleading the users in the following categories:

1 Materials
We have never produced panniers from 1,5 mm sheets because we strongly believe that it’s not enough for off-road performance. Since the beginning NOMADA, Nomada PRO i Nomada PRO II have always been made from 2 mm aluminium.
As far as materials we have always used EN AW-5754 aluminium which is an aluminium magnesium alloy. We have corresponding ISO and DIN certificates for AlMg3.

2. Lid
It says in the chart: no hinge
Let us answer with the photos of our panniers.

If you like to read more about aluminium panniers please visit: http://www.aluminiumpanniers.com

Happy riding

Nomada team

Shipping on the pannier kits range between $30 on the east coast to a bit over $50 on the west coast. Even factoring in shipping, we strongly believe that the GlobeScouts are an awesome deal. We've put together a comparison chart, with pictures here: http://advdepot.com/globescout-compare

Additionally, the equivalent Touratech kit costs nearly $80 to ship to us, in addition to costing $200 more by themselves. Just sayin...
