Therefore....... I'm open to a KLR ride through LBL or the bowels of hell. I don't know the area or have a GPS so I gotta follow someone who does. If anyone is thinking about a Dual Sport assault for tomarrow, now is the time to plan our attack.
I've never been to Turkey Bay... And I'd like to. Word is you have to get a permit. What do you know about that? EDIT! $20 A DAY TO RIDE TURKEY BAY?!?!?

Let's just meet at Bauer's/Cindy's on 79 and ride the dirt roads...

Here is the catch, to hold that reservation, it needs to be paid for in advance.

Non-electric sites @ $12 x 2 nights x 10 sites = $240
Electric Sites @ $22 x 2 nights x 2 sites = $88
Reservation Fee – as a group = $15 total
Reservation Fee – if reserved individually - $10 EACH SITE !

Total Cost as a group - $343
Total Cost to reserve a non electric site, $34 each site

I really think Energy Lake is the optimum location to take advantage of what LBL has to offer. But I am not an accountant. I can front the $343 to reserve the whole loop, but I really need to be comfortable knowing I’ll get reimbursed. Basically, I need assurance we can fill the loop.

They are holding it for us until they open for the regular camping season on March 1st. Then, they are gonna want some money.
So how much $ do I need to give you? $15?

That sounds good what time 9:00?

Turkey Bay has always been $15.00 for a 3 day pass when I've gone. That could have changed.

That could work, someone claim a site, then anyone else that stays on that site chip in to the first guy. That way, it only takes 12 people to get the whole loop.

As for getting the loop reserved, I'll plan on getting the fees to them, and we'll work out the rest as we go.

We'll know which way to go by next Friday.

I'm in for an electric site or regular. I can pay you PayPal, pay when I see you next, or go pay at Energy Lake.

Let's see how this week goes, I'd rather just do it as a group. If we don't get enough "Solid In" participation, it might be best if we do it individually.

Yep, no problem paying for a complete site and then settling up later.

Count is up to 16 people so far..... where is all the Nashville guys?

I know that a few people are waiting to see if they are free a little closer to the date (threadkiller, IHF), but it'd be really cool to see some more of the mid-state dudes roll up.

I tried to return your PM, not sure if you got it. Sounds great though. I should be there in time for a healthy breakfast because a high performance machine doesn't run on an empty tank.
