Dariens. Unless I'm in the road crafter. Managed to fall off the wr250f in the parking lot at work on Friday, bout 15 mph ( studs not compatible with pavement sealer- that's my story and I'm stickin to it) anyway no marks on me or the pants after about 20 feet of knee slide.

I've used these for snow blowing, shooting kids soccer in the pouring rain, etc for years. Gonna buy another pair when the goretex finally gives out, which should have been years ago.

First gear TPG

First Gear TPG- I got a pair on close out and they are windproof and waterproof. Don't normally have to use liner.

DFW? I'd go with AD1s, Dariens or Darien Lights. Buy them a little big if you want to be able to layer up during the cooler parts of the year. I wouldn't buy a lined pant for summer use where you are. Lots of folks like the Klim stuff as well; one pant they make has vents on the thighs which looks handy for hot weather. I don't remember which model though.

My Klim Traverse pants have zippered vents on the sides, and then on the backs of the legs. Not sure if that's the one you were thinking of....

I also think their Mojave and Dakar pants have zippered vents, also.

If you wear size 36-38 I have an inexpensive like new pair of Teknic overpants that fit your bill. They have full length zippers along the legs and can be taken on and off without even lifting a foot off the ground.

Like you I live in Texas. There is no single overpant that will do everything you want and not sweat you insane during the summer. I wear Airglide pants as pants (just LD shorts underneath) in the summer. I carry a pair of waterproof pants in case it rains. In the 3 or 4 days of winter we get here in Houston I wear the liners with the pants and/or running tights under them.

Since you are in Dallas just go to Moto Liberty and ask them what they suggest.
