A fond farewell to my vfr:

and I picked up my KTM 1190 Adv this morning:

I've only done 40km on the way home but I love it. It's fast, torquey, and handles beautifully. This is going to be a keeper

This is me after 20 km when I meet my friend who Friday took away my ex Supertenerč 1200 white: P

This is him happy

Shortly after lunch and take a ride for the first mountain that is 40 minutes from my city, Mt. Maiella

You Europeans are killin' me - for Dog's sake keep your pictures to yourself until the bikes are available in North America.

Great pics, Igor. Can you tell us something about the fuel consumption so far?

on this trip, up and down montain passes for 550 km the average consuption was 17,6 km x lt, 330 km before reserve with 4 lt left in the tank. it's good.

By using the bike faster and with a lot of stops in traffic it goes down to 15 km x lt.
I'd say 20% lower then the 990 as staded by ktm

The important question,,, any chance the 1190 tank and nose would fit a 950? that tanks looks way sleeker..

Not a lot of miles on mine yet - but first tank was about 45 mpg (UK) - pretty much all urban.commuting/lots of stop start riding. Second tank is currently showing an average of 53mpg since I last filled up. At the moment it has done 175 miles of 'open road' riding (not a lot of traffic, but fairly slow - 40mph speed limit here - but taking advantage of the odd spot where the throttle and handling could be used a bit more enthusiastically !).

Off to France next week so will be interesting see what it can do in 'touring' mode !

Thanks for the fuel values. In which rpm-range are you travelling most and at which rpm are you shifting up?

And, were these values calculated by ourself or is it what the computer on the bike calculates?
