I haven't chimed in yet but I am in for sure and I will be riding the NY route with GerryT, Wally and Scott. I plan to return directly as Scott prescribed.

Always wanted to ride out to the east coast. Really looking forward to it. I'm mostly geared up and need only a few mods for the 1150 to be ready.

Do we have to have the International license to drive through the States now? I remember hearing something about it on the news last week but didn't get the details. Something about Florida police not being able to read all the Quebec licenses so they made a blanket rule requiring all to have an International DL.

It was Florida and the law has been suspended...basically passed by idiots without thinking.

Remember, like Canada, there is no such ting as a USA drivers license, it's left to the states and as far as I know ALL states and provinces have complete license resiprocity. I know that my Illinois drivers license was taken in trade for an Ontario one with no questions asked.

Of course, keeping Quebecers off the road would be tempting...

First I want to thank Scott and Adam for putting this idea in motion.
Second I would like to add Crazylegs Bob and I to the list. We would like to camp at Meat Cove also it looks like a beautiful place.

I've been thinking about this ride over the last couple of days.
I doubt I could get away for the week it would take, but Smilin' Ed's offer has me thinking - perhaps some of those that can't ride all the way to Meat Cove could get as far as Ed's (Tuesday night, right?) to send off those that will go further...

I may be able to do that - pending Ed's approval in concept...
