Tis. And has the best and most northerly camping spot with a seafood shack right across the road.

I doubt I could get away for the week it would take, but Smilin' Ed's offer has me thinking - perhaps some of those that can't ride all the way to Meat Cove could get as far as Ed's (Tuesday night, right?) to send off those that will go further...

I may be able to do that - pending Ed's approval in concept...

.

concept approved. we've got a big finished basement, a couple of futons down there, lots of room for air mattresses, a tent trailer outside and lots of yard if you want to be in your own tent.

give us a rough idea of how many might show up and we'll get some basic bbq supplies.

Apparently Adam called Meat Cove and they don't take reservations....first come first serve. That'll be Plan A. Plan B will be ditch camping!

Planning too much will take some of the "adventure" out of it

As a few of you already know my dad had a stroke a few weeks ago... He's on the mend now but Iv chewed through a bunch of "time off" in the process. I cant take the majority of a week off now as a result and am also no longer locally equipped with an appropriate motorcycle to make this trip...
Is anyone willing to make a bombing run on four wheels for this one? Seems like a perfect opportunity to abuse the hell out of a rental car!!

And a voice was screaming "Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?"

Then it was quiet again. My attorney had taken his shirt off and was pouring beer on his chest, to facilitate the tanning process. "What the hell are you yelling about?" he muttered, staring up at the sun with his eyes closed and covered with wraparound Spanish sunglasses. "Never mind," I said. "It's your turn to drive." I hit the brakes and aimed the Great Red Shark toward the shoulder of the highway. No point mentioning those bats, I thought. The poor bastard will see them soon enough.......

OK - some of us are planning to meet at Smilin'Ed's on Saturday night (6/29) and continue from there around the north side so as to make the ferry crossing to Matane either at Baie Comeau or godbout and continue through Gaspe, over to NS and the Cabot Trail.

If you are interested in joining us and are not on the email thread, just PM me your email address an I'll add you.
