Exploring northern Norway with my 1993 Africa Twin

I am getting ready to depart on an epic journey to explore northern Norway. I have scheduled the next 2-3 weeks, but have 5 weeks in total in case something unexpected happens. I will leave from Trondheim, Norway (where I live) and journey along the norwegian coast until I reach Pasvikdalen and the russian border. I don't know yet which route to take back home.

I am travelling alone -- no-one I know was even remotely interested in joining me on this trip (I wonder why). Feel free to let me know if you or someone you know want to hook up along the way for a leg or two.

Technically my bike should be as prepped as could be, but you never know what might happen.

I will be maintaining a blog, although in norwegian, along the way. I will only attach one or two pictures per post, however I will upload all the photos I take to my Picasa/Google+ account. I have bought a new camera (Sony RX100) and will upload lots of pictures and short movies. You can monitor my photo albums either:The blog is located here: http://blog.printf.no/ (Translated)
My current position is available at any time here: http://blog.printf.no/?page_id=7 (subject to delays since an internet connection will be required)
Here's a preliminary itinerary: http://goo.gl/maps/LUjmI

My XRV currently has 64500km's on the clock. I expect to pass the 70000km mark on this journey. I also expect this journey to eat my brand new tires (K60 rear and TKC80 front) due to the road quality up north. I will be running high pressures and a leisurely pace to maintain tire life. Any and all tips and advice will be greatly appreciated. I will update this thread periodically as I progress.

My trusted queen will bring me safely there, and back again. Departure today or tomorrow morning (waiting for a parcel from Fedex).

This will be really awesome. Will you be travelling along the coast? Looking at a map, it seems like you almost have to.
