Across Australia and back

G'day guys,

Here's a link to a blog I kept for my 7 week trip from Ballarat, Victoria to, well, Ballarat I guess.

A brief summary.
Bike: DR650
Route: Ballarat to Airlie Beach solo on tar. Airlie Beach to Fremantle with Outback Adventure Treks, Fremantle to Steep Point to Ballarat solo.
Distance: About 18,000 kms

Great stuff Beautiful country

Did a trip to Oz back in 1998 and Ballarat was the first place we stayed in the camper van....... Visited the tin mine - usual tourist stuff - and it was around 40 degs C in late March

Excellent report, thanks for sharing.

Seems like we were close by a few times, and maybe had a night at Yulara nearby on 15/06. We got in latish and you guys were gone when we surfaced.

Where you with 3 or 4 DR's with some support? I reckon I might have seen you pull in.
At that stage I was getting worried about my rear tyre and was tempted to wander over and ask if you had any spares :)

Yep, 4 DRs with 4wd support and spare tyres too.

Was going to head over and say G'day, but got sidetracked too......
