You seem careful not to offend the pot smokers. How about extending that to the Native Americans (squaws?)

Many, many fond memories of this area. Can't wait to see what you guys made of it. Hard to believe that the largest chunk of coastal wildland remaining in the Lower 48 is in ... California! And thank goodness many there have never heard of it.

I am curious, DP: That wind screen that's been mentioned ... Did it work at speed?

The windscreen.
Yea it works well to keep wind off your chest. No buffeting on my helmet.

Lost Coast:
We were amazed at how many folks have never heard of the Lost Coast. Guess that's why is still "lost"
Lol

Got up to page 7, I'll catch up.
Thanks for posting. You all know how to "enjoy" a ride..

You left coasters just trying to keep everyone else away with these rumors ?
You guys must have come just at the right time. In Oregon we get about two weeks of partial sunshine, but it must have all come together to get you as much time as you got. Also, Bend is a terrible place. It's friendly for about one day a year, just like Sisters and the rest of the places you visited. The state motto (in case you didn't know) is "Oregon, it's a nice place to visit, but boy, you wouldn't want to live here." ;-)

Just finished your 2009 New England-NB ride report. Loved that one and completely in for this one. First popcorn post ever for me...

Thanks for creating these great reports.

Sorry, I was trying to be funny, tongue-in-cheek. Almost everywhere in Oregon is a great place to live and some of the finest people you'll ever meet (just don't tell anyone else )

ETA: next time, post on the regional forums and you can maybe have tires waiting for you when you get here. I've received tires for an inmate and helped out another on shipping a bike back east when the ride was over.
