Snail trail adv ride 10th feb 2013 bris, wamuran, glasshouse

SNAIL TRAIL ADVENTURE RIDE
BRISBANE DAYBORO WAMURAN GLASSHOUSE (OR MT MEE IF REOPENED)
SUNDAY 10TH FEB 2013

STARTING POINT
Meet 7.30am for 8.00am start at Dayboro bakery here.

Before coming on any Snail Trail ride ride you must read and agree to the disclaimer here. These are informal social rides with no central organiser or any person taking responsibility for others, and you come on these rides at your risk. You'll need a backup plan for any breakdowns, make sure someone can collect you and/or your bike if needed and bring at least a basic toolkit.

Please read about our corner-making system and general guidelines for the ride here, and a general guide to safety gear here.

If Mt Mee reopens in time, from Dayboro we'll enter the southern end, pop out the top end to Woodford for lunch, then wind our way back home through Wamuran basin. Pretty sure it will still be shut though, in which case we'll head north from Dayboro through Wamuran basin, do some easy dirt roads in Glasshouse Mountains and back again. Either ride would be about 50/50 dirt and bitumen. Like last week's ride, mostly easy but a few technical bits so you'll need basic dirt riding experience, or possibly a good handful of it if you are riding a 180+kg mothership!

Fuel at Dayboro and Wamuran so no one should have troubles with range. Early start to avoid a fair bit of the heat, hopefully back to Dayboro early afternoon.

If the weather is looking doubtful, just check the thread before heading off to see if it is still on or cancelled.

Thanks for putting up another ride B1.
If Mt Mee reopens before then, I am a starter, from Dayboro on.

The only reason I want to come, is it's been several months since my last potato pie!

Hi everyone. My name is strummer, and I'm a pieaholic.

Snail Trail #2 Here I come

Count me and my KLR in. I should have a new D606 on the rear to help with the traction. That would have been more handy last weekend in those muddy bits.

I'll meet you guys at Dayboro, I'll stop in early for some fuel, coffee and morning pie with Strum

Im out

After last weekends fun I would love to come again but ALAS my bike is off to Suzuki to get the rattle out of the engine so I don't think they'll have it sorted in time. But have fun all the same and I'm in for the next adventure

This is the rattle that came out of last Yamaha's engine.
