Fuel bladder bulk buy (12L)

Hi ADVer's,
me n a mate are looking at getting a few 12L fuel bladders from
http://liquidcontainment.com.au/cart...ouring-Bladder

Is anyone interested in a bulk buy?

Dimensions are 430mmx450mm.
12L max capacity.
Odor proof layer in them so they should be ok in hard boxes and other closed containers.
Apparently they are really tough. Lots of guys on here say good things about them.

They are listed at $150+GST each and are as little as $110+GST if 11+ are ordered.

Just gauging interest at this point. Will work out logistics if there is enough interest.

I am in Vic. Obviously there would need to be something added for postage over the $110+GST.

Please only put your hand up if you are serious. If we get 11 orders or more then I will post a confirmation, and PM those who have put their hands up.
Lets see if we can get 11+ orders together people.

I'll start the ball rolling with two for me and two for my mate.
4 down, 7 to go.

Sunken Man screwed with this post 02-03-2013 at 08:27 PM Reason: prices didn't include GST

Before you lash out $100+, they are approved for petrol? There should be a little circle with UN inside it and an approval number underneath it if it is to be used for dangerous goods. If you have a look at Jerry Cans for petrol you'll see the circle and numbers. A lot of those bladders are intended for non dangerous goods like water, wine, diesel where any type of container can be used within reason.

I personally cant see how a bladder would pass a 5 m drop test. But I maybe wrong.

Hmmm, thanks. I see it does indeed say that in the fine print now that I look closely.

That is a good question. There are quite a few riders on here that have them, some have shared their experiences.

I have decided to go down this path for extra fuel storage but I encourage others to do their research and make their own decision. I agree that physical and legal considerations are both important when deciding how to carry extra fuel.

The bladders are sold for motorcycle use so the implied purpose is petrol but I don't see that approval sticker so I guess they aren't approved. If you get any info please let us know.
Thanks,
Oli

All we have to do is place one big order and the supplier could send them out in two parcels. One to us in SA and the other to the remainder. We could probably negotiate a much better price for 20+

Oh, great, there you are DRTrev.

Definitely thinking one big order is going to be better!
I am not in a screaming hurry (leaving in April) so I have a few weeks to get a good sized group together. Let ya mates know everyone.
