Las Hurdes two-day off-road trip along this spectacular Spanish region.

After a couple of trials, finally came the awaited weekend. We had a couple of days and about 250 km of forest roads and firebreaks throughout the Spanish region of Las Hurdes.

Late on Friday, was a mystery if weather would allow us to enjoy the route a hundred percent. The scenery was an importan part of the ride. We needed good weather.







The chosen place as a base camp was finally Las Mestas (Careces). Fortunately, over breakfast we could see the sun shining.

My Tenere is missing an anchor and another gear ... reverse!



This was really steep!!! With no other choice I had made the effort to climb to the top, but there were too many ways to go...

After a hard climb, tired and hungry, we found a nice surprise: the guys and girls of the 4WD.
They do know how to do it and they kindly invite us to have lunch. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Not much snow. The highest point was about 1400m.
