Can you invert a route in a GPS V?

I ASSumed you could just invert a user-uploaded route, but couldn't find a way to do it. In the unit, not on the PC with Mapsource.

I have a Garmin 196. Usually the fuctions are pretty similar. If I go to my "Route" page....call up a route i have stored, select it and then press "menu"...it gives me the option of "reversing" the route.

Good luck!!!

Dang! Don't think that option exists on the 2610... least I can't find it.

Press the menu key twice to bring you to the main menu

Select routes

Highlight your route and press enter

You will see your waypoints and the word Navigate and Map

At this point press menu again, a new menu comes up and the second item is reverse route, page down and press enter.

Then press Navigate,

Enjoy the ride.

Nope.
When I highlight my route and press enter, I get a window that says "Do you want to navigate this route? YES / NO". It won't let me hit Menu again at this point, it beeps error. Yes takes me back to the map page ready to navigate the route. No just takes me back to the page with the route highlighted. I never see "my waypoints and the word Navigate and Map".
If I press Menu with my route highlighted, I get "Follow Roads/Rename/ Copy/Delete/Delete all/ Menu again for main menu".
This is a GPS V with the latest software, v 2.5.

Had the same problem on the weekend. I had a route I wanted to go the opposite way on and discovered the tracback feature only with tracks, not routes. I'll try the way mentioned to see if it works, later today.
I'm pretty sure you can do it on the pc with Mapsource though.

Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton

Another thread back from the grave

Info I got from here and other sources said it can't be done on a V.
I've since bought a 60Cx and it will reverse them.

It can be done.I checked before I called the tech line.
save a route, enter it press enter or menu
(I can't remember, but I could power mine up to see,and I forgot to check the software version of the display model(which I happened to sell today and to be honest , probably, unfortunatly, won't be restocked right away)
back on task
at or near the top of the list is the oppertunity to REVERSE ROUTE.
I can check this out if anyone can't get it.

I hate to bring up an old thread, but if you can tell me how to do it, I would be extremely grateful. My old III+ inverted routes easily. I can't figure it out on my V and that bugs me to death. I've started to just load 2 versions of my routes, but that's really stupid.

I tried follow your directions and I see no where to reverse my route.
