Anybody been along Bluff Hut, King Billy, Mt Howitt tracks in the last week? If so, on what bike and what's the track condition? Cheers, GOB

G'day,
Recently did this riding a 1200 GSA beemer. It was hard going in the rocky sections between Bluff and Lovicks and then down King Billy, all is achievable but watch out for fatigue dont be un a hurry. Problem you will have now is the Alpine fires so you may have to delay. Rode to Swifts Creek yesterday but came back due to fire behavior change. We were going up to Native Dog and Davies but decided to cancel due to high temps and wind. Tvan

King Billy was open, with the current fire situation now changed again It will be closed now.
Alpine fires have taken off again. Everyone wanting to go into the high country need to check Parks web site for closures. Fires are quite unpredictable due to current weather. Licola Rd is closed again as well.

RR 2 years ago it was closed due to logs and flooding I beleive it has been open for quite a while notwithstanding the fire situation |

Check it regularly, combine with www.willyweather.com.au to get an idea of wind directions and make up your own decision about the chances of a fire moving to where you intend to travel. nb the donnely creek fire grew to 40,000 hectares overnight a few weeks ago....check regularly |
