Clutch Options

It appears the ole 950 is ready for a clutch.
For background: 2005.5 950 Adventure, 28k miles, slave cyl replaced with Evolutionize a couple years ago

It is slipping under hard acceleration, especially noticeable in higher gears on pavement. Recently had to abuse the clutch in Colorado getting over some 13k feet passes, as the bike was jetted for sea level.

Lesson learned: Re-jet if you plan on going over 10k feet, It ran great up to 10k feet, after that all bets were off, especially above 12k.

My question is which clutch kit to get? Any of you inmates have experience with other than OEM you would like to share, as there is a big price difference? $300 plus for OEM kit, $181 for a Barnett, $138 for and EBC kit, and $88 for an Outlaw Racing clutch kit.

Thanks in advance, love this forum

I have used the first three.

OEM gave up the gost since first week. It seems the reason was there was no oil jet. Replaced at 47k kms with OEM under warranty. At 70k kms I had a dragging cluth and replaced with Barnett. At 110k kms replaced with EBC. I believe the non OEM to be superior.
Cheers

Great info

Thanks guys. I'll have to check out the Evo, and see if my plates are really worn.
