Day 13: Friday September 16th, 2012
I woke up pretty early.
I knew I had a big day of riding ahead of me. I was going to do the big push from Bend Oregon to Idaho Falls Idaho, some 600 miles. So after packing up camp, and saying goodbye to my friends, I got gas, and put my head in "highway mode". The first section of the ride was east on Rt 20 back towards Vale, OR.  It's pretty flat and straight for the first few hours.  Then we have section that follows a river and has a few corners.  Through a small valley...   Into Onion country.  Stop for gas and an energy drink in Ontario.  Only 340 more miles to go... I-84...  Past Boise...  There were still fires burning in the Twin Falls area. They had been burning almost all summer.  And finally back home.  The Super Enduro performed flawlessly, except for the broken rear shock, what that's not its' fault. That was my bad. Ripping up a loose boulder strewn road at 40+ mph with 50 pounds of luggage and a 200+ pound rider, it's going to put stress on a bike.  So all and all it was a great trip, but I was happy to be home. Stats for the day: 600 miles. Moving average 72.0 mph!  Moving time 8:20 Stopped 0:46 Total 9:08 Wow...  Thanks for coming along.  Q~
